The English Schools’ Football Association has a number of voluntary vacancies to fill – find out how you can help us to make a difference!

The English Schools’ Football Association (ESFA) is the National Governing Body for Schools’ Football in England and are looking to fill vacancies in in a number of areas across England, as well for different specialities within the Association.

Become an ESFA Council Member

The Association currently has three Council Vacancies, two in the North of England and one in the Midlands. The ESFA Council, has the primary responsibility to direct and support matters relating to managing, running and delivering Schools’ Football and alongside other ESFA Council Members (total of 20,16 of whom are elected from membership in England), help govern the national game.

ESFA Council Members are generally required to attend meetings up to 6 times per season and will also receive invitations to attend National ESFA functions throughout the year, including PlayStation Schools’ Cup Tie of the Round Events and National Finals.

Do you fit the bill?
  • To be eligible to apply for one of these three positions, you must:
  • Be a member of a Local or County Schools’ Football Association
  • Be a trained teacher holding QTS

To apply, you must be nominated to the ESFA by your local Association. Your application will then be reviewed and you will be contacted by Head Office.

Nominations for office, made by the local or county association and seconded by another affiliated association, must be submitted in writing to the ESFA’s Chief Executive at 4 Parker Court, Staffordshire Technology Park, Stafford, ST18 0WP.

Become an ESFA International Squad Assistant Manager

There are two more exciting vacancies within the ESFA for Assistant Managers for both the Girls’ U15 England Squad and Boys’ U18 England Squad ahead of the 2018-19 Schools’ Football season.

Girls’ U15 Assistant Team Manager

Join the Management Team for the ESFA Girls’ U15 International Squad for 2018-19 and support the team on their journey through the International Season.

The role includes, but is not limited to, squad selection, training and game management and requires attendance at approximately 3 training camps as well as travelling with the squad to all Home Nations matches, some of which may be overseas.

Boys’ U18 Assistant Team Manager

Join the Management Team for the ESFA Boys’ U18 International Squad for 2018-19 and support the team on their journey through the International Season.

The role is inclusive of, but not limited to squad selection, training, travel and game management, including attending approximately 3 training camps as well as travelling with the squad to all Home Nations matches, some of which may be overseas.
