Martin Dunkerley presents Matt Broadhead with his 10yrs Service Award

We would like to congratulate Matt Broadhead, who last week received his ESFA 10 Years’ Service award. Matt runs the football at his own school as well as taking part in local association competitions and also participating in the Manchester Catholic Schools’ Cup competitions.

From his early days, Matt helped out with the Tameside U14 and U15 teams as well as being secretary for high schools’ competitions. Since then, he has organised representative football in Tameside allowing footballers to progress from U12 to U15. His teams have had much success in the GMCSFA North-West and ESFA competitions, with Tameside U15s reaching the National Finals in 2012.

More recently, Matt has shared a role working in coaching and managing the Greater Manchester U16s team, which also has achieved success at a national level.

Matt was presented the award by the Tameside Schools’ FA Chairman, Martin Dunkerley, who himself will be receiving the ESFA 40 years’ service award next week.

The recipients of the 40 and 50 year Long Service awards for season 2014/15 have been invited to attend a presentation at the Hilton Hotel at St Georges’ Park on Monday 15 December. We would like to send our congratulations and thanks to all those in receipt of these awards. The names of all recipients receiving 10, 25, 40 and 50 year awards this season will appear in the 2015/16 edition of the ESFA Handbook.
