The Independent Schools' FA Boodle & Dunthorne Cup Final took place on Monday evening (20 March) at Leicester City Football Club.

Millfield School (Somerset) were making the trip to Leicester for the third season in a row, while Kings' School (Cheshire) were making their first visit to the final since they last lifted the Cup in 1994 at Craven Cottage.

Millfield took the lead in the first half, but were pegged back by a powerful Jack Minshall header for Kings' School just before the break. Kings started the second half well and managed to take the lead thanks to a second goal from Jack Minshall with a low shot into the bottom corner of the net.

Despite Millfield's superior fitness, Kings' School managed to hang on for a desperate last 25 minutes to lift the Cup.

Brian Barwick, Chief Executive of The Football Association was on hand to present the Cup
