A crowd of over 3000 saw England Schoolboys continue their excellent start to this season's Centenary Shield with a 2-0 win against Scotland on Friday night (24 March) at Home Park Plymouth Argyle FC.

England took the lead on 20 minutes after Lewis Irish (Millfield and Somerset) headed home a Richard Chetcuti cross. Shaun Taylor (Sandown College & Hampshire) secured the win for England three minutes into the second half after crashing an unstoppable 25 yard drive past Scotland keeper, Jamie Barclay.

England will hope to lift the Centenary Shield this Friday (31 March), when they take on Republic of Ireland at the Broadfield Stadium, Crawley Town FC, kick-off 7.00 pm. Tickets are available and can be purchased from the Match Secretary, Peter Chisholm (Tel 01444 246007)
