The young lions will be hosted by the US League soccer team from Atlanta, the FC Atlanta Blackhawks. Details of the Blackhawks can be found on their website www.fcatlantablackhawks.com
The tour will include two matches against the Blackhawks Under 18s at different grounds in Atlanta. The first match will be on Friday 1st May against Atlanta FC (the NPSL Southeast Champions) at Riverwood High School in Sandy Springs. Kick off is at 8:00 pm.
The second match on Sunday 3rd May against the FC Atlanta Blackhawks at Parkview High School in Lilburn. Kick-off is at 4:00 pm.
In between the squad will pay visits to local schools and undergo some high intensive training. Team Manager, Phil Nardiello, said, “We will be able to use the training and matches to improve a number of areas of play.”
“The players and staff can expect to be tested to the full and not just on the football pitch. Atlanta is coming out of spring into summer and so they can expect some high temperatures and high humidity. Kit sponsors PUMA have donated baseball caps to the squad and management to help with combating the heat".
