Tickets are now on sale for the Under 18 Centenary Shield International between England and Scotland, which is being held at Newcastle United Football Club’s Sports Direct Arena on Thursday 12 April, kick-off 8.05 pm.

The match is to celebrate 100 years of schools’ football in Northumberland and it will be the first Schoolboy International to be staged at Newcastle United FC since Michael Owen netted his self-confessed best ever goal in a 2-1 win against Scotland in 1995. An impressive 11,300 spectators were on hand to witness the lively striker ghost past most of the Scotland team and smash the ball into the back of the net.
