ESFA Tesco Cup
New for 2011/12

This year, for the first time Tesco will be sponsoring the English Schools’ FA Under-11 Primary Schools’ Small Sided Competitions.

What is the ESFA Tesco Cup?

The ESFA Tesco Cup includes four competitions:
• U11 7-a-side Schools’ Cup (mixed teams for pupils in Years 5 & 6)
• U11 7-a-side Schools’ Cup for Girls (for girls in Years 5 & 6)
• U11 Small Schools’ Soccer Sevens (mixed teams for Year 5 & 6 pupils from schools with under 100 pupils)
• U11 7-a-side Inter Association Trophy (mixed teams for Year 5 & 6 pupils selected to represent their district)

Each competition is made up of four rounds:
• District Round: played on one day at a local school
• County Round: played on one day at a local school
• Regional Round: County winners play in their Regional Finals (North, Midlands, South East and South West). All played on one day at a university or football club venue
• National Final: Winners and runners-up in each of the four regions progress to the National Finals in June

The ESFA Tesco Cup will give thousands of boys and girls in England the chance to show off their football skills.

How do you sign up?

Signing up for the ESFA Tesco Cup is easy – just email your details to your local District Schools' FA Secretary and you’ll be sent all of the information you need. The closing date for entries is Friday 30th September 2011.

Tesco is committed to helping their customers and their families lead healthy and active lives and know that one of the most effective ways we can do this is through supporting schools’ football. Tesco already works with the English Football Association and Sport England to provide free specialist coaching in primary schools and the community through the FA Tesco Skills programme and hope that the ESFA Tesco Cup encourages even more children to get active.
