Former England Schools’ Captain passes away

The English Schools’ FA was saddened to learn of the untimely death of former Under 18 England Schoolboys captain, Mark Gennard. Mark skippered the England Schools’ FA U18 side in the 1984/85 season, playing twice against Scotland and once against Wales. He scored one goal.
He also captained Torquay Boys' Grammar School to the ESFA Under 19 Individual Schools’ National Cup Final in 1984, when he was 17. Torquay Boys’ Grammar School went on to beat De La Salle School (Liverpool) 4-0 in the final, and Mark was among the scorers.
