England Schoolboys kick-started this season's Centenary Shield campaign with an emphatic 3-0 win over Northern Ireland on a cold evening at Glenavon Football Club last night (Monday 27 February).

First half goals from Lewis Irish (Millfield School and Somerset CSFA) and Lewis Brooks (Giles School and Lincolnshire CSFA) gave England a 2-0 lead going into the interval.

England managed to keep it tight at the back in the second period while managing to get a third goal thanks to Craig Heenigham (Widnes VI Form College and Cheshire CSFA) to secure all three points.

Peter Chisholm's squad will be in a confident mood going into their next Centenary Shield match against Scotland. This tie will be hosted at Home Park, Plymouth Argyle FC on Friday 24 March, kick-off 7.00 pm.
