Following recent trials, the North squad is named to take on the South at Stafford Town next month.

Sixteen girls from the North of England have been named as the ESFA U15 North squad as the girls prepare to take part in the final ESFA trial v South girls’ squad in December, to allow selectors to choose their final ESFA U15 England team for 2016-17.

The girls’ squad, representing the North, is made up of players from both North and Midlands teams, who will play together, taking on the team from the South, which will be picked following this Sunday’s South East v South West trials at Thatcham Town FC.

The U15 team selectors are bowled over each year by the level of talent on display by English Schoolgirls and choosing the final squad is no mean feat, but nevertheless, a team will be selected by January 2017. This team then has the opportunity to train together and go on to represent their Country during the Bob Docherty Tournament, scheduled this season to take place in Dublin in April. Last year’s England U15s are currently the reigning Home Nations Champions alongside our England U18 Schoolboys’ team, who last year became Inspiresport Centenary Shield winners.

The ESFA would like to congratulate the following girls on making the North Team at this year’s trials and wish them luck in the final trial on 11 December at Stafford Town FC.
