It was to Hackney Marshes for this game for the Year 8 National Cup tie. Marshalls Park dominated the first five minutes - good work down the right from Freddie Potts see Bradley Gray miss from 3 yards out.

Marshalls Park opened the scoring through Sonny Davie, a shot from 18 yards not being feat with by the City keeper. City had a chance in the first half to pull one back after Park switched off but the City striker just putting the ball wide.

Park had a number of chances but were shot shy and didn't increase their lead when they should have. The second goal did come and Potts took advantage of a poor clear out from City as Davie slid him behind the defence. Park went three up, Davie tucking in at the back post after Potts flicked on a great cross by Bradley Guinn. Potts grabbed a fourth before half time as he met a through ball by Bradley Gray.

City started the second half well and nearly pulled one back as park started the half slow. City pulled one back after Frankie Tracey's weak back pass was intercepted and the striker rounded Joe Kuszel in goal.

Alfie Ellis came close to a fifth goal for Park, narrowly missing from a tight angle after a decent cross from Rome Boyce. Potts did add a fifth and produced the goal of the game. Gray with a drive down the right wing and crossing for Potts to volley home.

"We played okay in stages but need to be better to progress in rounds to come".
