The Yeovil U13 Team at the 2016 Somerset Festival

Following last year’s success, the ESFA Somerset Festival will be returning for its second year during April 2017, thanks to Somerset Schools’ FA.

Taking the place of the former Isle of Wight Festival, the Somerset Festival provides an opportunity for U13 and U14 district teams, nationwide, to engage, interact and develop not only their footballing skills but also their team skills and friendships over the course of the event.

The festival will span over Monday 10th to Thursday 13th April with morning and afternoon games, planned evening activities and a closing ceremony to conclude events. The event organisers work with not only a local Referees Association but also the Welsh Referees Association, which allows the Festival to provide a fantastic opportunity not only for players to play in a format different to their usual local competitions, but also for young referees to gain valuable experience through the games on offer.
