Broadlands Academy v Tiverton High School

The Y11 boys won 2-0 on Monday 7 December against a very good Tiverton team and are now in the last 16 of both the ESFA U16 Schools' Cup and ESFA U16 Small Schools' Cup!

Beside the Y11 finalists from 5 years ago, this is the furthest that any Broadlands side has got in the ESFA Schools' Cup.

We were under a great deal of pressure for the first 25 minutes and some outstanding defending kept us in the game until half time (0-0). As the game progressed the boys began to get into the game and two goals from Shea Bennington-Mannings secured their best win this year. They are also yet to concede a goal in 5 rounds of the ESFA U16 Schools' Cup!

The ESFA would like to thank Broadlands Academy for submitting this report to us and also congratulate them on their success in making it this far in the Schools’ Cup competitions for the first time.

Broadlands Academy are now due to take on Avon Valley College in Round 6 of the Premier League U16 Schools’ Cup with a date yet to be confirmed.

Commiserations to Tiverton High School for being knocked out at this late stage of the competition.
