Twelve 11 year old boys from Leeds have been ranked 19th in the world following the World Finals of the Danone Nations Cup.
Leeds Schools’ FA U11’s team won the Inter-District leg of the ESFA Danone Nations Cup U11’s tournament earlier this year, meaning that they got the chance to represent England and play in the Danone Nations Cup World Finals in Morocco.
At the World Finals, England faced previous winners Mexico, Egypt and Portugal, one of the toughest groups at the finals. Team England finished third in the group behind a dominant Mexico who were eventual finalists. (MEXICO 1 v 0 ENG, ENG 2 v 2 EGYPT, ENG 0 v 2 PORTUGAL)
