Repton School was the venue for the Midlands Trial on Sunday 25 October for this seasons England under 18 International squad. Potential international footballers arrived from all parts of the Midland Region for this trial at Repton School in Derbyshire, the second of the weekend, the North Region having held theirs on Saturday.

As the sun broke through the early morning mist, the quality of the Church pitch surface could not have been better and gave all the players hoping to impress the England team management the ideal opportunity to show off their skills. This, they certainly did and all thirty players involved in the trial all performed to a high standard. The green squad were the stronger of the two teams and ran out winners by 5-2 in a highly entertaining game.

All players will now be eagerly waiting for news of whether they have been selected for the next stage of the selection process. A squad from the Midlands has been selected to play the North at Carrington Training Ground, Manchester on Saturday 28th November, kick off 12.00pm.

Players selected will now have been informed and will be preparing to face the North squad at the end of this month!

Well done to all those who have made it through to the next round and we would like to thank all those boys’ who have been involved in our National Trials so far this season.
