We are re-viewing our current processes and inviting expressions of interest for volunteers to support the development of our District Football Programme.

The role of a District Manager is key to the development of young, talented footballers. You will be responsible for a group of school age players who will be the sole representation of their local area (District) in regional & national competitions.

These sought after positions are part-time & voluntary but allow each individual to contribute to widening the talent pool of young players throughout the country, whilst overseeing individual development through grassroots football into an elite environment.

We are also committed to helping coaches develop their own experiences & abilities through this role, working with talented individuals in a national programme. This role will also include an element of liaising with local professional clubs who are supporting this programme.

If successfully appointed, you will be expected to support the creation and development of a District team through contact with local primary schools, run coaching sessions for the District team, compete within a local programme of fixtures (Saturday mornings) and enter regional/national tournaments (approximately 2-3 per season) which may include moderate travelling at times.

These roles will commence in line with the new 2016/17 football season & may include a residential short course during the summer to familiarise new candidates with their roles.

For a job specification please see the resources section of the ESFA website. If you are interested, please send an electronic copy of your CV along with a cover letter detailing why you feel you would fit this role to David Ebberson. Please note, expressions of interest must include 'District Team Manager' in the email subject line along with the Town or District in which you reside.
