Less than a week after he made his senior international debut for England at Wembley, Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli was the next high-profile star to support the English Schools’ FA PlayStation Schools’ Cup.

Making a surprise visit to Waltham Cross school Haileybury Turnford, Dele made it a day to remember as he supported a number of activities with excited pupils for the third Tie of the Round of the season.

The 19-year-old supported a question and answer session on his arrival, with pupils quizzing Dele on a number of topics including the best player he’s ever played against and the fastest player in the Tottenham squad.

There were a number of fun activities on the Haileybury Turnford playing fields too as Dele met with the school’s Under 15 team, supported pupils in a Game Changers skills challenge, taught the Copa90 team some skills as well as interviews with both KiCK! magazine and CBBC Match of the Day Kickabout.

England’s newest star wasn’t bad in the virtual football world either, taking on a pupil as well as leading YouTuber Jack54HD on FIFA 16. The game with the latter proved to be a thriller, with Jack narrowly edging out Dele 4-3 after extra time some fantastic end-to-end action between the pair. He then rounded off his media day with popular kids’ magazine MATCH! and signed a number of pieces of memorabilia for the school.

The school’s Sports Hall enjoyed a PlayStation makeover for the day as well-behaving pupils were rewarded with gaming experiences on the latest PlayStation 4 titles, including 16 pupils taking part in a FIFA 16 tournament. The winner and runner-up on the day were further buoyed by the news that they will be rewarded with a trip to the PlayStation Schools’ Cup Festival in May.

PE lessons were given a nice bit of variety too with the ESFA providing two professional coaches who ran through some unique drills with the school’s budding footballers.

We would like to extend a huge thanks to Dele for supporting the day as well as Haileybury Turnford for being fantastic hosts and allowing us to put on this great occasion.

Tomorrow sees the fourth TOTR of the season take place in Liverpool - stay posted for updates on where we are going and who the next PlayStation Schools' Cup Ambassador will be!
