On Monday 15th December 2014 the English Schools Football Association hosted a lunch in the Terry Venables Suite at the Hilton Hotel St George's Park. This special occasion was to honour members who had completed 40 or 50 years of service to the ESFA.
50 Year Awards
Mr H Huxley (Cheshire CSFA), Mr J Rourke (Bootle & District PSFA), Mr T Mason (Hull SFA), Mr R Donnison (South Notts SFA), Mr D Willacy (Hertfordshire CSFA), Mr A Tasker (Sunderland SFA).
40 Year Awards
Mr D Warburton (Manchester SFA), Mr D Pearson (Cheshire CSFA), Mr S Abson (Leicester & District PSFA), Mr D Cubison (Nuneaton & District SFA), Mr M Meacham (Bristol & South Gloucestershire SFA), Mr R Adamson (Durham CSFA), Mr C Newman (Northumberland CSFA).
The Chairman of the ESFA, Mike Spinks, presided at the function and gave a short eulogy about each of the award recipients before presenting them with their award. In total those at the meal had completed 530 years of service to the ESFA. All had been involved in taking school teams, but most had also been involved in supervising District and / or County Schools squads. Many had also spent a number of years as administrators helping with the smooth running of their particular Association's activities. We thank them all for their tremendous service as volunteers within the schools’ football family.
