It is with great pleasure the ESFA can announce the appointment of Rachel Yankey as an ambassador for the ESFA Girls' U15 team.

With 129 England caps to her credit, Rachel is the most capped England Women's player in history. She made her England debut in 1997, has played in two World Cups, three European Championships and also in the 2012 Olympic Games.

Rachel is currently in the eighth season of her second stint with Arsenal's ladies' team and was awarded an MBE in 2005. Further to this, she was honoured again by receiving an OBE in the 2013 New Years Honours list for services to the women's game. She clearly finds great pleasure in working with youth teams and on being offered this new opportunity on her list of accomplishments said 'I am passionate about coaching young players and look forward to working with the English Schools' Football Association and the ESFA U15 Girls' team'.

About her new role with the ESFA, Rachel said 'it is a great opportunity for me to work with some of the most talented female players in the country. I am looking forward to passing on my experience to them'. We are pleased to welcome her to the team and wish her success in her new role with us!
