Futsal Winners Treated to Gameday Parade

An invitation from Dagenham & Redbridge Football Club to attend their game against Accrington Stanley, on Tuesday 25th March, was readily accepted by 2 ESFA National Futsal Champion Schools. The evening match saw a half-time parade around the pitch by the boys from Eastbury School in Barking and the girls from Rainham School in Gillingham. The 2 schools had won their respective championships against school and club teams from around the country in an FA tournament in Birmingham last summer. They now represent England at the World Schools Futsal Festival in Sardinia at the end of April.
The half-time parade was much appreciated by the crowd with rounds of applause from all sections of the ground. Indeed for most of the crowd it was the highlight of the night as the League Two match stuttered to a 0-0 draw.
