inspiresport the UK Schools’ Number 1 choice for sports development tours has announced that it has entered into a 3 year agreement with SAFIB (Schools Association Football International Board) to sponsor the following competitions:
• The Centenary Shield in association with inspiresport is for national under 18 boys selects and is competed for by England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.
• The Bob Docherty Cup in association with inspiresport is for national under 15 girls selects and features the home nations, alongside the Republic of Ireland and a guest international select (for 2014, Slovakia).
• The Allen McKinstry Cup in association with inspiresport is a British Isles competition for the under 14/under 15 national schools champions.
The 3 year agreement commences for the 2014 competitions. Commenting on the announcement, Steve Butchart, CEO inspiresport, stated:

Clearly this is a natural fit for our business given our dedication to sports development programmes within the school market. We are extremely proud to be the only organisation in the UK to be providing bespoke football development tours which are exclusively endorsed by the school governing bodies and this new agreement merely serves to add further kudos to our product.”

SAFIB has been in existence since 1914, originally consisting of the Schoolboy Football Associations of England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland joined in 1934. SAFIB exists to promote the welfare of schools football, to organise and regulate competitions and invitation matches and to foster the development of schoolboys and schoolgirls through the medium of Association Football.
