PGMOL Select Group referee Jon Moss spent a full day in Peterborough visiting Castor Primary School, Ken Stimpson Community School and The Fleet Italian Community Centre to address those at the 5th annual Peterborough Young Referees Evening.

Mini Whistling was the first order of the day as the year 6 Castor pupils took turns refereeing and being an referees assistant under the watchful eyes of Moss and representatives of Peterborough Referees Association.

A question and answer session with sports students at Ken Stimpson was followed by Mossdonninghis kit to take charge of a big year 7 local derby match between the hosts and Jack Hunt School, with monies being raised for Children in Need.

The long day concluded with a packed audience of young referees and parents in workshops and a inspirational presentation by Moss before departing home.
