Cardinal Heenan Sports College win at St George's Park

Sunday 9th June 2013 saw the Danone Nations Cup England Finals which were held at St George’s Park. The winners of our Under 11 competitions and the Under 12 Schools’ Cup for Boys which are all under the sponsorship of Danone qualified for a chance to represent England at Wembley Stadium in September 2013.

All teams arrived at St George’s Park to play in the Indoor 3G facility and were welcomed by John Scales (Ex-England International), Ellen White and Karen Carney (both currently play for England).

Each team was a mix of boys from the winning team and the runners up from our event at The Hive due to the International age groupings meaning that all of the boys from the day had to have been born in 2001 or 2002.

The games kicked off which saw a feast of great football of the highest standard. The games were played on a single pitch with plenty of space for parents to sit and watch the games.

The first 2 games saw Edmund Waller take on Hull PSFA and Rickling played Cardinal Heenan.
