Over the weekend 16th/17th March Don’t X The Line Campaign is working together with The Professional Football Association and the PGMOL (Professional Game Match Officials) to raise awareness of Respect in the game of football. Over the years, match officials have worn branded T-shirts promoting Don’t X The Line around Premier league grounds during warm ups, prior to officiating their game.

Our ‘Respect The Referee’ initiative, in grassroots football, is aimed at the behaviour of parents and spectators who are at the heart of bad touchline behaviour. The wearing of T-shirts helps promote awareness to all Junior League parents/spectators and players around the country. At the same time, it helps maintain the number of referees. Also, the promotion of ‘Respect The Referee’ provides a power ful incentive which attracts even more referees to the sport we love.
