English Schools' Football Association

Following several enquiries from Schools’ Football Associations regarding accessing The Football Foundation’s ‘Grow the Game’ grants, we have contacted The Football Foundation to establish if our member Associations are eligible to apply.

Unfortunately, the response from The Football Foundation is that Schools’ FAs are currently ineligible to apply for the grant as the fund was established to create new teams for new players. Whilst new representative teams will be created, new players won't be as they will be already playing football for their school (and most likely a club). There would be no overall increase in participation.

The Football Foundation also confirmed that this scheme does not fund educational establishments.
