Oxfordshire CSFA celebrating their winning goal

Staffordshire County Schools' FA took on Oxfordshire County Schools' FA in the first round of the ESFA Under 16 Inter County Trophy.

The match took place at Evans Park, home of Stafford Town Football Club, on Wednesday 7th November.

It only took Oxfordshire 3 minutes to get onto the score sheet with some poor defending by Staffordshire to allow Kaylem Patterson the chance to score. It didn't take Staffordshire long to draw back level with a goal from Alex Davidson. Both teams coming close to scoring but the match went into half time level.

Teams came back out into the cold wind with the messages from their managers ringing in their ears. Oxfordshire went back into the lead again with a second goal from Kaylem Patterson.

Kaylem them went and put the ball into the back of the net putting Oxfordshire 3-1 up and completing his hat-trick.

10 minutes to play and Staffordshire's Jake Braxton-Lloyd pulled one back for Staffordshire but Oxfordshire held on to claim victory.
