A 12 year old boy was killed last week in Wales when goalposts he and his friends were using fell on him. It appears these posts were left unanchored and not properly stored resulting in this tragic accident.
Members are reminded of the FA Goalpost Safety Campaign and the documentation supporting this. A link is provided below and we would suggest that the information is re-circulated to remind all concerned of the dangers that unmanaged, unsafe or unsecured goalposts can pose.
