Two goals either side of half time gave the girls from Leicestershire & Rutland Schools FA a comprehensive 4-0 victory in the first round of the English Schools FA U16 Girls’ Inter County Trophy. 

A double from Coral Haines (Guthlaxton College)  and strikes from Tori Allen (St. Paul's School) and Codie Applebee (Guthlaxton College) put the home team in a commanding position.  Yet the visitors from Buckinghamshire never let the heads drop and keeper Sally Preston, in the home goal had to finger-tip away a twenty yard shot from Buckinghamshire's talented striker force. 

This first round victory now puts Leicestershire away to the winners of the Derbyshire v West Yorkshire tie
