U15 Inter Association Trophy Winners - Liverpool Schools' FA

Liverpool Schools' FA

A sunny evening saw Liverpool Schools' FA win the Under 15 Inter Association Trophy for the seventeenth time on the hallowed turf of Anfield, home of Liverpool Football Club.   It was the one hundreth time the Trophy has been conested in its proud history, so it was apt that the venue for this final belonged to the most succesful team in English football history.

The spectators did not have to wait long before they saw the first goal, Liverpool's Ryan Cox scored after just 8 minutes with a fine header. Liverpool's second goal came just 9 minutes later with a side footed strike from Tom Williams. Liverpool looked very much in control of the game as Ryan Cox netted his second goal after 31 minutes of play. He then went on to score his third and forth goal before half time.

Cambridge came out for the second half with their managers instructions still ringing in their ears, Barney McLaughlin has a good game in goal keeping Liverpool's efforts at bay, but after 14 minutes of the second half the referee pointed to the spot after a foul tackle and Joel Kerwin converted the kick in style.

The fourth official signalled 3 minutes added time at the end of the second half but it seemed Liverpool were not finished with Kellen Daly scoring a header in injury time.

The game looked to be over but not until Ryan Cox scored again after a scramble in front of goal making the score at full time 8-0 to Liverpool Schools' FA.
