England host Scotland on St George’s Day

England’s Under 18 Schools’ team will be hoping to celebrate St George’s Day with a victory against Scotland on Friday 23 April at Carlisle United FC (kick-off 7.40 pm).

A win on Friday evening would see England leapfrog the Republic of Ireland in the league table and would put the young lions in a strong position to retain the Centenary Shield outright. That would leave England requiring just a draw against the Republic of Ireland in the final match of the International Season to guarantee being crowned champions for 2010.

Scotland still have a chance of sharing the Centenary Shield with England or the Republic of Ireland if they beat England on Friday and then England avoid losing to the Republic of Ireland on Friday 30 April at Burton Albion FC (kick-off 7.40 pm).

A walk in gate will be in operation at Carlisle United on Friday evening. Ticket prices are:
