Wright Robinson Sports College, last season’s ESFA Royal Air Force U16 Boys’ Cup winners, enjoyed further success recently when they were presented with the Daily Telegraph National School Team of the Year Award at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday 6th October 2009.
This National Award was given after a very successful season for the team who also secured the Manchester SFA Cup, Greater Manchester CSFA Cup. The school fought off hundreds of other teams to win this award from a whole host of different sports.
The award was presented by Brian Moore, ex England RFU International. Other guests included Dame Kelly Holmes, Sally Gunnell, James Cracknell, Iwan Thomas and Tom Daley but to name a few.
