England Under 18 Schools v Wales

Phil Nardiello, the England U18 Schools’ Manager, will be hoping for a successful start to the campaign tonight as the young lions host Wales at Boston United FC tonight (kick-off 7.00 pm).

Already it is a must win game for England as last year’s winners, Republic of Ireland, have already registered three points after beating Wales at Wexford on 26 February.

Northern Ireland have also got of to a flying start when the defeated Scotland 2-1 at Comber.

If England fail to win tonight the pressure could grow further as the Republic of Ireland will play two more games by the time England next step onto the pitch on the 27 March 2009 against Northern Ireland. Two wins for the Emerald Isle between now and then will see them open up a minimum six point lead at the top of the table.

A walk-in gate will be in operation at tonight’s match.
