Thinkuknow and CEOP

Tuesday 10th February sees the launch of Child Exploitation Online Protection centre (CEOP) Safer Internet Day. If you have a son/daughter, cousin, niece, nephew, neighbours child who you know regularly uses then internet then read on.

Safer internet day – does what it says on the tin; aims to raise awareness today about how to ensure children use the internet safely. Face book is a huge success and no one wants to discourage use of such social networking sites – but what we do want to do is help parents/carers to be more aware of some of the issues when allowing children to use the internet without some sort of parental guidance. Guidance is being shared with CFA Welfare Officers about how to promote thinkuknow guidance across football and we hope to have a link to their site on every CFA website by the end of the year.
