ESFA Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting was held on Saturday 21 June at the Beacon International Centre, Stafford. Here is a summary of the meeting:

Affiliation fees for Member County / District Schools FAs
This will be increased by £10 from Season 2009-10

 

Adults other than Teachers
Can now run School / District / County teams with a Level 1 FA Coaching Qualification providing the person has been registered with the ESFA as an AOTT. Registrations must be updated every 3 years

U15 Inter Association Trophy
There will be no replays from Season 2008-09 onwards. Matches must be decided using extra time and penalties kicks at the first meeting, if necessary.

The final will now be contested as a “one-off” match rather than over two legs

Inter County Football
The proposal to change the existing Regional format into a National one was narrowly defeated.

U18 Schools’ Trophy
The proposal to amend the rules to include “A team may only include a maximum of three players who were not on the roll in Year 11” was withdrawn.

Retired Council Members
The Association placed on record its sincere appreciation for the services rendered to the ESFA by the following Council Members who retired at the weekend:

Steve Abson (15 years)
Dennis Fulton (17 years)
Martin Duffield (23 years)

Life Membership
In addition to Steve Abson, Dennis Fulton and Martin Duffield, the following members were awarded Life Membership of the Association

Mr E H Bailey (Islington & Camden SFA)
Mr P Cullinane (Jersey PSFA)
Mr R Barter OBE (Suffolk CSFA)
Mr T R Moore (Suffolk CSFA)
Mr K Ford (Humberside CSFA)
Mr J A Wilkinson (South Yorkshire CSFA)

New Chairman
Stuart Inger replaced Gerry Smith as Chairman for Season 2008-09. Paul Rickard now becomes the Vice-Chairman.
