England Under 18 Schoolboys will go into tonight’s game at Sunderland AFC’s Stadium of Light knowing a win will be enough to retain the SAFIB Centenary Shield for a third successive season. Kick-off is 7.00 pm.

The Republic of Ireland are currently top of the table with seven points, but tonight is their last game. England lie in second place with six points and have two games remaining.

The permutations for winning the SAFIB Centenary Shield are:

  • Three points for England tonight will retain the Centenary Shield
  • A win for Republic of Ireland will see them crowned the Centenary Shield Champions
  • If England draw tonight, then the final match against Scotland at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 26 April will become crucial as England will need to beat our friends from north of the border to be outright winners of the Shield or draw to share the honours with the Republic of Ireland.
  • Scotland can still share the Shield, if England draw with the Republic tonight and Scotland beat England on Saturday 26 April

Tickets are available at the stadium tonight:
Adults £5
Tickets £2
