England Schoolboys gained a vital win on Friday night as they overcame Wales 1-0 at Haverfordwest County AFC, thanks to a first half strike from Chatham Grammar School & Kent CSFA defender, Christopher Smalling. The Wales’ keeper made a terrific save from Smalling’s initial shot, but he could do nothing as Smalling was on hand to smash home the re-bound.

England are now a point behind league leaders, Republic Of Ireland, but have a game in hand. The two teams will face each other in what could prove a crucial match in deciding the winners of this season SAFIB Centenary Shield at Sunderland AFC on Friday 18 April, kick off 7.00 pm.
