The U13 Minute Maid Schools’ Cup is well and truly underway, with Schools from all over the county competing in four Regional Tournaments that will eventually find a National Champion School in both the boys’ and girls’ categories.

The draw for the Minute Maid Schools’ Cups took place on Tuesday 29 January 2008 at the Department for Children, Schools and Families in Central London. The draw was undertaken by the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families, Ed Balls MP.

The Secretary of State drew the home teams for both competitions. In the boys’ draw he was assisted by Sir Trevor Brooking, Director of Football Development at the FA, who drew the away teams.

In the girls’ draw the away teams were drawn by Jeremy Goss, Norwich City Football Club’s Community Ambassador. Jerry is a former ESFA Schools U18 International, having played for England against Scotland and Wales in 1982 whilst a member of the Kent Schools U18 team.
