After Extra Time - Trophy Shared
Cirencester College and Middlesbrough College shared the ESFA Under 18 Colleges’ Trophy this afternoon, after the final ended in a 1-1 draw, after extra time at Saltergate, Chesterfield Football Club.
Middlesbrough went in 1-0 up at the break through a Ben Everson goal. England Schoolboy International, Matthew Green, equalised for Cirencester in injury time, to send the game into extra-time.
Both teams hit the post in extra time, but neither could add to the score, so the trophy for this season will be shared between the two finalists.
The trophy was presented by Steve Abson, the ESFA Chairman and Roy McFarland, the Chesterfield Manager on the field of play, after the match.
