Sefton Schools beat Waltham Forest Schools 2-1 in the Semi-Final of the ESFA N.U.T. Under 15 Trophy in a closely-fought match at Arsenal's Academy Ground on Saturday 02 April.

Although Waltham Forest had the better of the early exchanges, Sefton settled into an attacking rhythm and a fine through ball resulted in their first goal after 15 minutes scored by Craig Ankers. Sefton increased their lead just before half-time after an excellent move down the left saw Matty Poulson score.

In the second half, Waltham Forest reduced the arrears with a penalty converted by Smith, but created few other scoring opportunities and Sefton deservedly booked their place in the final.

This will be Sefton's first final since 1991 when they finished runners-up to Barnsley. Reading Schools will be their opponents, and they have already secured the use of the excellent Madjeski Stadium on Monday 25th April for the second-leg of the two-leg final.  The first-leg will be held at Marine Football Club on Thursday 14 April, kick-off 7.00 pm.
