Where are they now: Chris Whelpdale

Chris Whelpdale
Chris was an Essex County SFA and England U18 Schoolboy player during season 2004-2005. He managed to gain four International appearances that season which included a 3-0 victory against Scotland and a 2-0 win against Finland.
Chris is now plying his trade under Sir Alex’s son, Darren Ferguson, at Championship side Peterborough United. His career is going from strength to strength following his transfer from Billericay Town in 2006-07 for a reported £35,000. Sir Alex even picked out Chris for special praise during a pre-season friendly against Manchester United at the start of last season.
Garry Sapsford, team manager of Shenfield High School still regards his former student very highly, “Chris was a great student who always loved playing Schools’ Football at Shenfield. He came back to present at our sports awards evening last year and continues to be an inspiration to many budding footballers at the school.”

The Gothia World Youth Cup has been running since 1975 and has entertained teams from some 127 countries from around the world.
06th :: Queensbury School win USA Cup!
Between July 18th and 28th, Queensbury School (Dunstable) Year 11 Football team travelled to Blaine, Minnesota, to compete in the USA Cup.
