Where are they now: Chris Smalling

Chris Smalling
Chris Smalling, who was part of the England U18 Schools’ International team last season is now plying his trade at Fulham Football Club. He was an unused substitute against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday night and is tipped for a bright future.
Chris signed for Fulham in the summer after making a dramatic u-turn. The former Chatham Grammar School and Kent CSFA defender was originally scheduled to sign for Premiership side Middlesbrough after impressing during England’s Centenary Shield campaign, but had a last minute change of heart and decided to stay in London close to family and friends.
Chris is still waiting to make his first team debut for the Cottagers, but it can’t be too far away after impressing for Fulham’s reserves since signing last summer.
