Sam James bagged a hat-trick and became the hero for Weston Park Boys' School (Southampton) to see off Montgomery School from Blackpool in the final held at Crystal Palace Football Club on Tuesday 10 May.

Gary Dawson, Frome Community College's team manager, guided the Somerset outfit to their second U16 Schools' Cup success in four years. Frome edged a tight encounter against Bolton based school, Rivington & Blackrod, in extra time. Frome had previously won the Cup in 2002 after beating Countesthorpe Community College from Leicestershire, 3-1, at Ashton Gate, home to Bristol City FC.
