The ESFA creates such a high volume of activity for school pupils across England, from National Competitions, to local District and County activity, to Schools’ Football Week and beyond, that it can be difficult to really see what the Association stands for.

We have therefore created this fantastic “Guide for Teachers”, which brings together the many ways of getting involved within ESFA activity, whether locally or nationally. We hope that this is a useful tool to get to know the ESFA better and to make sure that you, your school and your players are involved in ESFA activity wherever possible.

“Thank you so much for all your hard work on the National Finals and the experience that you gave our school.  

The organisation of the day was excellent. The staff could not be more helpful and everyone at Stoke City made us feel very  welcome.  Obviously we left elated because  we had won but regardless of the result, it was a special day for our school. Hopefully the next batch of footballers will be inspired by what they witnessed from the stands.”

I wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the whole of the ESFA for our final yesterday. It was an unforgettable day out for our players, staff and supporters. I know how much work you all put into the finals and throughout the season arranging and managing the competitions and we are extremely grateful.

To make the students feel like elite sportspeople for one just day was icing on the cake. Without your opportunities this would not be possible so please reflect and recognise the power your work and competitions have on the school children in this country. Although the result did not go our way it is a day our boys can remember and talk about for the rest of their lives regardless of their future involvement in football.
